Sergeant George C. Chandler
Sergeant George Chandler was killed in an automobile crash when his patrol car was broadsided by a passenger bus as he made a U-turn on Highway 40 (modern day I-80) west of Reno, Nevada.
Sergeant Chandler had served with the Nevada State Police for six months and had previously served with the Reno Police Department for four years. He was survived by his wife and two children.
